FAQs
Will the S3 fit my car?
The S3 is designed for conventional threaded shift levers.
It supports M12 × 1.25, M10 × 1.5, M10 × 1.25, and M8 × 1.25 threads. Three thread adapters and matching lock nuts are included.
Fitment depends on the design of your shift lever—not only the make and model of your car. If you are unsure, send us your vehicle details and photos before ordering.
Does it work with automatic transmissions?
Some conventional automatic shifters can be compatible, but many automatic vehicles use a release button or built-in locking mechanism that must remain functional.
The S3 is not suitable for most electronic shifters, column shifters, or shifters that depend on an integrated release button.
Please contact us with photos before ordering for an automatic vehicle.
Does it fit manual transmissions?
It works with many conventional threaded manual shift levers in the supported thread sizes.
Vehicles with a reverse-lockout collar, smooth non-threaded rod, or unusual shifter mechanism may require additional parts or may not be compatible. Send us a photo if you are unsure.
Can I upload my own images and GIFs?
Yes. You can upload your own JPG images and GIF animations.
Add someone you love, your favorite artist, your car club logo, or any visual that makes the S3 feel like part of your build.
What vehicle data can it display?
Supported examples include vehicle speed, coolant temperature, and MAP through the included Bluetooth OBD adapter.
Available readings depend on the OBD data supported by your vehicle, so every car may not display exactly the same information.
Is the Bluetooth OBD adapter included?
Yes. The Bluetooth OBD adapter is included, along with the thread adapters, lock nuts, screen protector, and 90-degree Type-C adapter.
How difficult is the installation?
Installation is straightforward on a compatible threaded shift lever, but removing the original shift knob is different for every vehicle.
Choose the correct adapter, install the lock nut, and tighten the S3 only until it is secure. Use the lock nut to align the display instead of overtightening the knob.
We recommend watching our installation video and a shift knob removal guide for your specific vehicle.
What if my shift lever is not threaded?
A smooth, non-threaded shift rod may require a separate aftermarket adapter. This adapter is not included.
Because smooth rods and locking mechanisms vary, please send us a photo before ordering.
Does it need to stay connected to a charging cable?
No. The S3 has a built-in 3000mAh battery and supports Type-C charging.
Does it turn on and off automatically?
Yes. The S3 supports automatic wake and sleep with the vehicle, helping reduce unnecessary battery use while the car is parked.
